Anita Rose Soundtrack

Surprisingly good - and we do mean surprisingly - this Anders Manga-composed-and-performed collection of songs from his feature Anita Rose is a soulful, earthy, resonant collage of rockabilly, blues and guitar-heavy electronica reminiscent at different times of Elliott Smith and John Carpenter (yeah, the horror guy). Aside from making us hugely anxious to see the movie, this album poses the unlikely question: could Manga have a shot at a legit music career? We think perhaps he could.
